Tobi Jooste by Gim

[ Top ]

Daar is iets vir almal, of jy nou 20 of 80 is!

Daar is net 'n beperkte getal sitplekke beskikbaar by Gimnasium. Vir meer inligting kontak Mercia Labuschagne by 872-3569.

Wine and music at Nederburg

[ Top ]

THREE decades ago Nederburg presented the first series of chamber music concerts in the historic homestead. The success of these concerts inspired a number of wine estates to follow suit and music has become as popular as the wine on these estates.

The proud tradition lives on at Nederburg and the first concert in this year's series is on 27 April and features Russian cellist Marc Drobinsky and South African born pianist Marika Hofmeyr.

The concert series offers a fine selection of local and international artists:

* On 11 May, the music will be provided by an exciting quartet of young players from Cape Town, the Sontonga Quartet with musicians Marc Uys (violin), Waldo Alexander (violin), Xandi van Dijk (viola) and Brian Choveaux (cello).

* Artists from Kwa-Zulu Natal, the Kerimov Trio, will be performing on 8 June. This celebrated trio consists of musicians Boris Kerimov (cello), Elana Kerimova (violin) and Christopher Duigan (piano).

The programme for the second half of the year will be announced later.

Bookings can be made with Christine Joubert at 809-7473, or dcjoubert@distell.co.za. The ticket price includes a finger supper and Nederburg wines. The concerts start at 17:00.
