Boschenmeer launches lodges

[ Top ]

wlodge14THE first estate ldoges have been completed at Boschenmeer Golf and Country Estate in Paarl.

The estate lodges consist of luxuriously fully-furnished and serviced units with two or four double bedrooms (both with en suite bathrooms), a living room and patio, dining room and kitchen.

Some units will be available with swimming pools and terraces.

All maintenance costs are included in the levies, thereby offering buyers a complete no-nonsense, lifelong

NEW. An estate lodge on the golf course at Boschenmeer in Paarl.

investment without the headaches of garden maintenance or security,

refurbishment of the building, or even the responsibility of replacing furniture, linen, crockery or glassware over time.

As a special launch offer, units are available from R1,3 million which includes a golf car, as well as all Paarl Golf Club membership benefits while in residence.

The Estate Lodges at Boschenmeer offer top class accommodation adjacent to the estate's biggest lake and bird sanctuary.

Surrounded by majestic mountains, the development is located on the Cape's only 27-hole golf course, where the existing, upgraded Paarl Golf course meets up with the new Boschenmeer nine holes, which was designed in association with David Frost.

Aimed at the corporate market, groups of friends or families and out-of-towners, estate lodges offer a range of other benefits. These include the use of facilities that are currently under construction, such as swimming pools, floodlit tennis courts, a high-tech golf academy, conference facilities, the estate hotel and the new Paarl Golf Clubhouse.

Depending on the particular design chosen, the estate lodge product is sold either on a freehold or sectional title basis, registered into a company and may be syndicated with a maximum of 12 shareholders in each unit.

If required, Syfin Properties, the developer, will assist in the formulation of syndications.

The estate lodges may also generate income if buyers choose to make use of the option to place unoccupied accommodation in a rental pool that will be managed by the appointed hotel operator on the Estate.

It also offers an excellent Rand-hedged investment as the Boschenmeer Estate Lodges are affiliated to the renowned Interval International Exchange programme.

This provides estate lodge buyers with the option to enjoy free accommodation when travelling abroad on business or holiday.

Boschenmeer has a dedicated sales team on site from 10:00 to 18:00 seven days a week. Phone 863-1133, fax 863-1134 or visit the website at www.boschenmeer.co.za.

Chambers of commerce unite

[ Top ]

THE Boland Chamber of Commerce in Paarl has united with chambers in Cape Town to form the Cape Town Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Says Boland president Trevor Harris, "It has been recognised worldwide that large Chambers of Commerce with a proper infrastructure and with adequate resources have the power to lobby, have the respect of the policymakers and have the ability to serve their members in accordance with their expectations.

"It therefore made sense to unite six Chambers of Commerce (including the Boland Chamber of Commerce) in the greater Cape Town area to form the Cape Town Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"It will be the leading business organisation in the Province and the largest Chamber in South Africa."

The geographical boundaries of the divisions or chambers will by and large, follow the perimeters of the City's subcouncils like Tygerberg and Helderberg, as well as Paarl, Stellenbosch and West Coast.

Services will continue to be provided from the existing offices in Paarl, Cape Town, Bellville, Somerset West and Fish Hoek.

Sophisticated electronic equipment will interconnect these offices to create a virtual single information/services centre.

As a unified Chamber they intend to stimulate inclusiveness, to break down barriers between entities and create a level playing field for all business in the area.

The enlarged Chamber wishes to ensure that the voice of business is heard as a collective representative organisation following the advent of the Unicity.

Not only must it create opportunities for business to expand and to prosper, but it also needs to demonstrate its ability to uplift less privileged business communities by capacity building and development.

Bailey beywer hom vir plaaswerkers

Susan Botha

* Drakenstein deputy mayor Herman Bailey has been appointed to the office of the provincial minister of agriculture to assist farm labourers.
