THE Shophar Christian Church will be launching their debut praise and worship album "Worship as One" on 13 April in the Paul Roos Gymnasium auditorium in Stellenbosch. TV star Francois Rautenbach of the popular TV series 7de Laan, will be the master of ceremonies for the evening, which starts at 19:00. The CD comprises a mixed-bag of musical genres which cater for easy listening by a wide audience. Tickets for the launch can be bought at R20 from the Shophar office at 7a Bosman Street (opposite Huis Ten Bosch) and will also be sold at the door. A WELL-KNOWN German organist and professor at the Munich Musikhochschule, Friedemann Winklhofer, will give a recital of works by Bach and Boellman (Suite Gothique) in the Toringkerk on Sunday morning at 10:30, just after the morning service. The recital is in aid of the Macassar Haven for Children that takes care of neglected, abused and abandoned or orphaned children up to 12 years. Tickets at R30 each for the recital are available at Decor Selection, 81 Main Street in Paarl (863-3699) or at the door. A reception at R150 per person will be held in the Paarl Museum afterwards. |

CHIFFON. South African fashion will once again grace the ramp at the annual Nederburg Auction in Paarl on 13 April when twenty of South Africa's most acclaimed fashion designers present their exclusive fashion predictions for the coming season. Here Nadia wears a black chiffon baby-doll dress designed by Jenni Button. This glamorous affair is not restricted to the Nederburg Auction guests only, as two extra fashion shows open to the public are being held that same weekend in Cape Town in aid of the Organ Donor Foundation.
