A FREE workshop on role playing (improv theatre), will be held at the Old Mill Theatre in Paarl on Tuesday night from 19:30. This is a creative problem solving method for use in business and interpersonal relationships.
Learn and grow while having fun in a safe group environment where relevant problem areas in life and relationships are explored.
Techniques include role reversal, double, multiple double, soliloquy (a monologue expressing hidden thoughts and feelings) and brainstorming possible courses of action.,
The aim is to involve everyone, from the director to the volunteers who act out the conflict to the audience who elaborate on the situation.
Role playing can be directed to attain therapeutic and learning goals. Multiple solutions may be proposed and tested.
Role playing demonstrates that good human relations require skills that must be practised in the same sense that playing golf or tennis requires skills.
By working on yourself in group context in a safe environment you can grow and enhance your life skills and personality development in a way that benefits your whole life, personally and professionally.
The event will be facilitated by Danie du Toit of Paarl, who specialises in Creativity and Creative Problem Solving. He can be contacted on 082-9656-108 or daniewpc@yahoo.com.
