The person in this position will be responsible for the following: * Gathering of news and accurate fact collecting on events in the greater Drakenstein area. * The writing of balanced news and articles on events (in English and Afrikaans). * Taking of quality photographs suitable for publication. * Establishing and sustaining relationships with the community of the Drakenstein through good people skills. The ideal candidate is someone with at least three years' experience in journalism or a relevant tertiary degree or certificate. The person must have the ability to work independently and in a team under constant deadline pressures, with irregular hours. Typing skills and computer literacy are a requirement.
