SINCE its inception in 2000, the North Sea Jazz Festival Cape Town has included a photographic exhibition as part of the visual arts mix.

The 2004 exhibition will feature an American photographer whose black and white photographs of jazz performers are instantly recognisable. They hang on the walls of almost every jazz club in the world - Herman Leonard. Exhibiting alongside Leonard are two of South Africa's 'most famous' - George Hallett and Alf Khumalo.

The exhibition will be held at the newly instituted 'DuoTone Gallery', at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.  

The naming of the gallery and the official opening of the exhibition, by Minister Kader Asmal, will take place at 18:30 on Friday. Die drie is Ivan Vorster, Karen Engelbrecht... en Elisma Carsten. Saam met hulle op die program is die bekende Kaapse groep Too Much.

AN Easter DJ festival with ten of Cape Town's hottest DJ's will be held at the Jim Fouché picnic terrain from 07:00 until 19:00 on Sunday, hosted by Grant Lesch & Theo Esau of P4 radio Cape Town.

You can look forward to a day of fun and entertainment with prizes to the value of R10 000 to be won which include a TV and DVD player.

Braai facilities, a karaoke competition and a jumping castle for the kids will keep you dancing to the music all day long.

WOENSDAG om 20:00 is die Zagreb Strykkwartet uit Kroasië in die Endlersaal, Stellenbosch,   saam met Ida Gamulin (klavier) en Lidija Horvat Dunjko (sopraan). 

Die program bestaan uit Rossini Lieder, Vier Sonates vir klavier (Scarlatti), die Sonate in G mineur (Bellini) en eindig met die Mahler Klavierkwartet in A mineur.
