SOEK u nog na 'n spesiale manier om Valentyns te vier?

Drie van die bestes, Mathys Roets, Danie Niehaus en Kevin Leo, gaan Saterdagaand sorg vir 'n romantiese Valentynsgeleentheid met ligte klassieke- musiek, gewilde treffers en Afrikaanse verwerkings op Paarlberg.

'n Verhoog word gebou sodat mense beter kan sien en daar sal 'n beeldsending op 'n reuse skerm wees.

'n Sesstuk-orkes met tien instrumente, onder meer viool, saksofoon, akkordion, tromme, baskitaar, akoestiese kitaar, elektriese kitaar en klawe-r bord sal sorg dat dit 'n onvergeetlike aand is.

Die konsert word ook op DVD opgeneem met behulp van sewe televisiekameras en elf tegnici as bemanning. 'n Totaal van 9,3km kabels word geïnstalleer vir die DVD-opname, klank en beligting.

Drie van die Bestes het die afgelope paar jaar groot gehore as individuele kunstenaars gelok, maar die trekkrag van die drie-in-een het 'n groot behoefte onder aanhangers gebly.

Die drie beloof om hul gewildste treffers aan te bied, asook 'n paar nuwe verwerkings wat die gehoor sal bekoor. Sien dus uit na gunstelinge soos Mannetjies Roux, Time to say Goodbye, La Donna la Mobile, Cotton Fields en O Solo Mio - deurweef met 'n paar verrassings.

Die hekke open om 17:00. Veertien kos- en wynstalletjies sal sorg dat konsertgangers die innerlike kan versterk met die beste van  die streek.

Kaartjies is beskikbaar by Computicket (083-915-8000) en daar sal ook nog kaartjies by die hek verkoop word.

ONE of Cape Town's best performing artists, Amanda Tiffin, will perform in the Grande Roche amphitheatre on 27 February at 18:00, in aid of Draken-s stein Hospice.

"Piano in my pocket" features Amanda Tiffin (vocals and piano) presenting lyrical songs from greats such as Carol King, Elton John and Stevie Wonder.

Apart from her unquestionable ivory tapping abilities, Amanda works her particular and peculiar voodoo on the audience with her magic vocals.

Shaun Johannes on the bass is the absolute business. Dave Ledbetter is a seasoned entertainer and his vocal skills really shine through. André‚ Swart completes this awesome foursome on drums with deadly slickness.

DIE eerste van vele konserte op die Zevenwacht Wynlandgoed naby Kuils- rivier vind Saterdag 19 Februarie plaas met verskeie bekende musiekname.

Rock legende Arno Carstens, musiek ikoon Lesley Rae Dowling en wel- bekende Pop Idol Francisca deel die verhoog.

Arno Carstens het bekendheid verwerf as lid van die Springbok Nude Girls, voordat hy  sy loopbaan as solis begin het.

Sy nuutste album, "Another Universe", weerspieël sy besonderse groei in musikale interpretasie.

Lesley Rae Dowling het 'n huishoudelike naam geword na die vrystelling van  "The Spaniard" in 1981. Dié is haar die eerste opelug konsert.

Nadat Francisca getreiter is deur die kontroversie van haar redes vir die verlaat van die televisieprogram Pop Idols, het sy as oorwinnaar uitgestyg toe sy deur EMI (SA) vir 'n opname-kontrak gekies is.

Verversings asook piekniekpakkies is by die konsert beskikbaar.

Hekke open om 17:30 en die konsert begin om 18:30.

TO celebrate the 10th anniversary of wine production at Nelson's Creek, they will be hosting a "four-hour gourmet feast" on 19 February, all seated at one long table, in its new conference venue.

The Paarl Round Table will co-host the event and profits will go to the Round Table Charity Fund - they have nominated the Tsunami Disaster Relief.

The lunch starts at 12:00 and will comprise a sumptuous four course meal accompanied by light classical music. 

The Nelson's new 'Estate Range' of wines, for which they were awarded an incredible four out of four medals at the latest Veritas awards, will be tasted at the lunch. The cost of the long lunch is R190 per person.

Guests wanting to spend a relaxing day with their families are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets or enjoy meals that Round Table will be providing to raise funds.  

Entrance fee is R20 per person. Guests will be entertained in the gardens by roving musicians. There will be a jumping castle for the children and access to the swimming pool.    

Winemaker Jean van Rooyen will give guests the opportunity to taste some of the 2005 wine that he and his team are currently harvesting. This will be complimentary, but their wines will also be on sale.
