Youngsters make pledge

I HEREBY pledge that I am fully aware of the dangers of HIV/Aids.
I solemnly pledge that I will not participate in any sexual activity prematurely.
I will keep my virginity as long as possible.
Through my abstinence from irresponsible sexual behaviour I will educate potential sexual partners.
This pledge was made by Grade 7 learners from 41 local schools during a
PLEDGE. Grade 7 learners, each with a candle, make their pledge.
gymnastrade and HIV/Aids campaign at the Dal Josaphat stadium in Paarl on
Friday evening.
Learners had to discuss the pledge beforehand with their parents, who had to co-sign the pledge with them.
The event was presented by the Paarl Association of Schools Governing Bodies.
