WAITERS. Taking part in the inaugural Waiters Race at the Bastille festival in Franschhoek this weekend were Annelize Louw, Alecia Erasmus and Elenore Kerwan of Le Quartier Francaise. The event was initiated to promote the fastest service by residential waiters.

2000 visit Paarl

THE Boland regional LoveLife Games will be held in Paarl on Saturday, with about 2000 children from the six Boland sporting regions attending.

The opening ceremony will be held at Gymnasium High at 08:30. This is followed (09:30) by soccer is at the Boy Louw fields, basketball at Paarlzicht Primary, cross country at Boland Park (11:00), gymnastics at Dalweide Primary and drummies, baseball, netball, softball and tennis at Paarl Gymnasium High. Lifestyles (drama, dance and debating) will be at Noorder Paarl Secondary.
