TWO prime properties in Paarl come under the hammer this month.
According to Jonathan Smiedt of ClareMart Auctioneers, both these properties are prime investment opportunities for potential buyers.
One of Paarl's most prestigious residential properties is going under the hammer this month. Situated on the slopes of the Paarl mountains, this four bedroomed home has spectacular views of the town and surrounds.
Says Jonathan Smiedt, CEO of ClareMart Auctioneers, "The upcoming sale is a rare opportunity to purchase prime property in the Paarl area.
"This magnificent four-bedroomed Georgian home with a floor plan area of 424 sq/m, has one of the best addresses and the views and large plot size make this a property of distinction."
The property will be sold to the highest bidder on Wednesday 28 August at 12:00. Potential bidders can view the Paarl home at 4 Berea Street on Tuesday 27 August between 12:00 and 16:00.
Development site
The second auction is a vacant 2,2 ha site located between Paarl and Wellington.
Says Andrew Koch of ClareMart Auctioneers, "The site has been zoned as a special business and offers investors a magnificent opportunity to develop land in the area.
"This is one of the last genuine development sites of this size in Paarl and would be an excellent location for a new shopping centre."
The vacant erf is close to Paarl CBD, schools and other local amenities.
Another appealing aspect for a potential shopping centre development is the site's close proximity to the residential suburb of Mbekweni and its location on the busy main road (Van Riebeeck Drive) between Paarl and Wellington. This further offers the potential investor excellent passing trade.
"The potential buying power of the residents of Mbekweni should not be underestimated. A shopping centre with a large retail group as anchor, would be an ideal development initiative for this area," adds Koch.
The site is situated on the corner of Van Riebeeck Drive and Wan Kele Kile Street in Paarl and interested buyers can preview the property on Wednesday 28 August between 12:00 and 15:00. The auction takes please on Thursday 29 August at 12:00.
