PAARL will be among over 3000 towns and cities to participate in World Aids Day celebrations on Wednesday 1 December.
The Paarl/Drakenstein observance of the 2004 World Aids Day started with a gathering for primary school learners yesterday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be two workshops with mothers and daughters.
Tuesday it will be at the Calvin Protestant Church and Wednesday at the Mbekweni Baptist Church. Both are from 13:00 to 15:00. The

There will also be presentations/programmes at Hawequa, Paardeberg, Drakenstein, and Allandale Correctional Services. The contact

An Aids Awareness March through the streets of Paarl will take place on Wednesday 1 December. The march will start at 10:00 at
Patriot Plain, proceed down Lady Grey Street and end at Faure Stadion.
The key note speaker will be Mayor Herman Bailey. The contact persons are Rev Stephen Snyman (862-2747) and Jolanda Lerm
(084-393-1192). The main event will be joint ecumenical services at 19:30 on Wednesday 1 December.
The service for Paarl will take place in the Strauss Hall (Rev Snyman 862 2747), for Mbekweni in the Community Hall (Past James
868-1959) for Wellington in the Dutch Reformed Church Wellington East (Rev van As 873-2690) and for Saron/Gouda in the Seventh Day Adventist Church (Rev Present 072-236-9597).
