[ Top ]

wPLETFROM 8 to 10 May, two Bridge House teachers, Bangikhaya Poni and Nick Chadwick, will be running from Worcester to Plettenberg Bay in aid of charity.

They will be running for the Starfish Foundation which is a voluntary organisation raising funds and awareness for Aids and Aids orphans in South Africa.

ABOVE: FIT. Bangi Poni and Nick Chadwick, teachers of Bridge House School, will run to Plet in aid of charity.

Even though they are incredibly physical and fit, they will be assisted by 10 other friends who will make up the rest of the relay team. .

Apart from running, both these talented and multi-tasking individuals will be acting and DJ'ing in shows which the group will be performing in four communities along the route. Poni has been instrumental in this, having written the script, directed and produced the performance.

The two will leave Worcester at midnight on 8 May and will each run 60 kilometres in total by the time they arrive in Plett, three days later. The group will have covered 600 kilometres by foot.

For enquiries, phone (874-1790), Nick on 082-831-2730 or Bangi on 083-735-3654 or visit www.starfishcharity.org/champions (Plod to Plet)
